In the fast-paced world of retail sportswear, standing out is as much about innovation as it is about quality. Reprimo, a new sportswear e-commerce brand, sought to make a powerful entrance into the physical retail sphere. They approached Ripple with a vision to create Free Standing Display Units (FSDUs) that wouldn’t just display their product but define their presence amidst the competitive sports environment in retail stores.

For Reprimo, the challenge was multi-faceted: carving out a unique space on the crowded shop floor, driving brand awareness, and ensuring that their debut was both visually striking and operationally swift to prevent stock from stagnating in warehouses.

Our Approach:

Design Refinement and Cost Management

Ripple’s first step was to partner with Reprimo in honing their existing design to balance aesthetic appeal with production costs that remained within budget. This process involved tweaking the original visuals and ensuring the designs were primed for our in-house manufacturing.

Material Selection for Longevity

The material choice was key; we opted for a robust metal FSDU featuring powder-coated mild steel, brushed stainless steel, and clear acrylic coupled with brushed composite aluminium for a modern edge. Utilising these materials provides durable, corrosion-resistant finishes which will extend the unit’s lifespan, even in high-traffic retail environments. 

Digital Integration for Enhanced Experience

To truly differentiate Reprimo’s FSDU, Ripple coordinated with LCD Showcase to incorporate cutting-edge digital screens, which are rechargeable and don’t rely on store power sources, offering flexibility for a variety of store layouts. Digital integration not only enhances the customer experience but allows Reprimo to update their branding and product information continually with ease.

Customer-Centric Process

Throughout this journey, Reprimo was heavily involved, from visiting our site for production oversight to the final sign-off with our account manager, Harriet, who oversaw the on-site installation. Ripple’s client-centric approach throughout the project encouraged valuable feedback from the Reprimo team, who were always flexible and open to suggestions and valued the work required at each stage of the project lifecycle.
