Laura Ashley Paint & Paper

Retail / Point of Purchase Design & Manufacture

Project Overview

In 2021, Laura Ashley launched a curated interior paint collection in partnership with Graham & Brown. The seventy-colour range marked a new chapter for the brand and needed a strong physical presence inside Next’s flagship store at Westfield Shopping Centre. Ripple was brought in to design and build a premium display that could carry the story, stand out and sit comfortably within a busy homeware environment.

the challenge

The display needed to do several jobs at once. It had to present a broad colour range clearly, feel aligned with Laura Ashley’s heritage, and act as a visual anchor across a large retail footprint. Access was also a constraint. Any solution had to be designed with restricted back-of-house routes, lift sizes and on-site handling in mind.

Our Solutions

Ripple delivered a large-format paint and paper display designed to work hard both visually and practically.

Collaborative Concept Design

Working closely with Laura Ashley, Graham & Brown and the retail team, we began with hand sketches to explore layout, scale and interaction. These ideas were then developed into detailed 3D renders, allowing the display to be refined as a clear beacon within the department before build.

Technical Detailing and Build

Our technical team mapped every finish, fixing and assembly detail. The display was designed in modular sections, allowing it to be manoeuvred through restricted access routes and lifts while still delivering a seamless finished appearance on-site.

In-House Manufacturing and Installation

Once approved, the unit was crafted and pre-assembled in Ripple’s workshop. Manufacturing in-house allowed close control over quality and finish. The display was then delivered and installed on-site in line with the relaunch schedule.
