Ripple has completed the latest phase of the transformation of Norman Piette, the highly successful builders’ merchants whose heritage dates back to 1740.
The relationship between Ripple and Norman Piette started over three years ago following an introduction from Akzo Nobel. Ripple became instrumental in helping to radically change their Building Centre operation which was an enormous success, driving up the performance of both trade and consumer business.
The final piece of the Building Centre jigsaw was their floors, doors and joinery categories which has now been completely transformed, whilst simultaneously helping re-model their Plumbing and Heating division and Project Hire business (an established tool and plant hire company) on to their main site. In each case Ripple acted as consultants, designers and project leaders working with the client to reformat each of these operations.
The transformation included format development, extension of the corporate brand style across the different operations and consistent merchandising principles whilst providing a combination of proprietary equipment and bespoke manufactured elements down to the detail of individual SKU locations.
The team here at Ripple wish to thank everyone at Norman Piette for placing their faith in us and giving their support and co-operation throughout the process, achieving differentiation through the creative freedom we have been given has resulted in something to be proud of for all concerned.
In the words of Paul Rogers, Norman Piette’s managing director: –
I cannot thank you and your team enough for the professional way you have solved our issues on layout.
It has personally been uplifting to deal with you and I so appreciate that you have taken the lead yourself. The results are stunning and far exceed our expectations.
We are so proud and that is down to your ingenuity and expertise.
Please thank everyone there from me and all at Norman Piette.
“In 2014, Ripple were tasked with bringing fresh ideas for a brand new showroom featuring plant and equipment. When you take into account the weight, form and difficult nature of plant equipment, this was never going to be an easy task.
Ultimately, Ripple met this challenge head on and created a superb, functional layout which rivals anything seen within our industry”
